Brasilia Tiles by Popham Design

I love playing with patterns in the home, they can be used as a great way to add your own style into a space. These handmade tiles create a beautiful statement shower, and subtle colours can make it easier to get to grips with adding pattern.

From subtle cushions to bold patterned tiles theres something for everyone.

Sadly not all of us can be transforming our bathrooms so something a little more accessible could be to add patterned throws and cushions into bedrooms or living rooms to add some interest. Below you can see how the sofas have been decorated with cushions to add texture and a warmth to the rooms.

I love how interchangeable cushions can be, they can instantly add colour and warmth to a room. Using neutrals can help create a calm cosy atmosphere whereas bright bold patterns can be used to lift a room and add splashes of colour. They're an easy, cheap way to update a space and follow changing trends and seasons.

Another quick and easy way to introduce patterns is to add curtains, both functional and decorative. I love the below and this is a great option for rented homes who can't decorate the walls or floors.

However you like your patterns, subtle to bold, they're a lovely way to add colour and style to a home. Here's some extra inspiration for you to lust over:
